What a great game! great atmosphere and creepy. Well done gamedeboi! Only criticism for me was I struggled to read the notes a bit in game but during the recording they were much clearer, it could be a problem on my end but still amazing game!
Llorona is a fantastic PS1-style horror game with a lot of thought and care behind it. I played one of the developer’s previous works, which was more of a short, experimental experience (Come to Play), but saw the quality in such a brief adventure. So it comes as no surprise that this beefier experience of Mexican folklore would be so good. Llorona delves into some old-school survival horror gameplay techniques, such as exploring the mansion and its grounds, finding items to be used elsewhere to proceed, solving puzzles and finding notes and diary entries that piece the story together. Throughout, Llorona never loses that eerie quality. I think it’s one of the better horror games released here in awhile. If you’re a fan of the genre, it’d be a shame to miss this.

This was REALLY good! A nice linear story that grabbed my attention, very well executed small puzzle bits, and a handful of great jump scares. What more could you ask for in a horror game? Great Job!
You did an amazing job with the jumpscares they probably got me the best of any game that I have played and it goes to show that they don't need to be super big or loud just very well timed. Good job all around!.

Hey! I downloaded this after I saw you post about it on Reddit (and Alpha Beta Gamer posted gameplay on YT). I love the aesthetic, subject matter, and fact that I can play it in Spanish. However, the Mac version seems to crash whenever I click the mouse during gameplay. I'm running Mojave. Hope this is something that gets fixed in the future so I can play it for myself. Good luck with the game jam!
I'm taking a look at both linux and mac versions. The game was developed with windows in mind but I'm going to take a look so you guys can also play it! The more the better! :)

The horror in this is very subtle. I felt constantly on edge. the voice acting is good. The jumpscares are on point. The story is incredible. When i come to mexico i would love to see the mansion.
I don't know, it was a long time I didn't play something like this. I guess I'm kinda used to this kind of horror, because I felt rather relaxed, although my hands were shaking at each vision, so I still had fun!
Agree I put some relaxing moments on purpose to allow the player to think calmly about the puzzles. My goal here was to make it scary but I also wanted that anyone who plays can finish the game and see the story and feel good because they figured out the small little puzzles. Thanks for playing! I'm really happy when I get to make people shaky :P
